Posting Henry's number: the line, the ref code and where to put them
How the shared Henry line and per-load ref codes work, where to paste the posting text on DAT and Truckstop, and what carriers hear when they call.
Henry works off one thing: carriers seeing his number on your load post and calling it. This post covers how the number and ref codes work, where to paste them, and what happens when the phone rings.
One number, one code per load
Every Fifth Wheel load is answered on the same Henry line, the number in your posting text. What makes a call yours is the ref code, a six-digit number each load gets when you add it. Henry asks the carrier for the six-digit reference number, matches the code, and pitches that load with your numbers.
That means you don’t manage phone numbers. Add a load, get a code, post it.
Copy the posting text
On the load, hit Copy posting text. You get one line:
Call Henry 24/7: (323) 905-7787, ref 482913
(Your load gets its own ref code; 482913 is only an example.)
Keep it exactly as it is. “24/7” tells carriers they’ll get an answer at any hour, and the ref code saves them describing the lane.
Where to paste it
- DAT: in the comments of the load post. If you also list a contact phone, carriers may call that instead, so decide which line you want them on.
- Truckstop: in the notes or comments field of the post.
- Anywhere else carriers see the load: the same line works.
What carriers hear
Henry opens the same way on every call: “Hi, this is Henry, an AI assistant. This call is recorded. What’s the six-digit reference number on the load?” Once he has the code, he:
- pitches the load: your brokerage’s name, the lane, equipment, pickup and the details you gave him,
- asks for the MC number and checks it against FMCSA while they talk,
- works the rate, starting from your target and going no higher than your ceiling,
- takes a callback number and tells the carrier someone will call them back.
Calls are recorded and transcribed. Each load includes up to 20 carrier calls.
